If you have any questions about delivery or returns from The Hosiery Box, then you can find the answers below. We have postage options to suit everybody, in almost every country, and if you aren't happy with your order, you are more than welcome to send it back unopened within 28 days.

 

Delivery

We aim to ship all orders the same day you order - as long as your order arrives before 3pm UK time. Therefore, depending on your chosen shipping method, orders will arrive as soon as tomorrow morning!

We send orders to anywhere in the world directly from our boutique in Britain, and have a particularly large client base in the UK, USA, Europe, Australia and Canada.  Orders are posted weekdays, but not weekends, when the order will be posted the following Monday. Orders after 3.00pm will be sent the next weekday.  Once your order has been dispatched, we will confirm it on an email along with any tracking number.

We personally send all parcels, and maintain high quality standards at every stage of your purchase and delivery. We use Royal Mail and DHL Express to send all orders.

UK

First Class (1-2 days) : £2.95

Tracked 1st Class (1-2 Days) : £4.90 (can be tracked online) 

Next Day Delivery (MON-SAT) : £8.90 (next working day before 1pm, requires signature - needs to be ordered before 3.00pm). If ordering on a weekend or holiday, orders will be despatched the next working day.


UNITED STATES & CANADA

Airmail Tracked : £7.95 (typically 5 to 9 working days, requires signature on delivery, tracked)

DHL Express : from £24.90 (typically 1-5 working days, requires signature on delivery, tracked + SMS/email notifications)

EUROPE

Airmail Tracked : from £8.90 (typically 2 to 5 working days, track online)

DHL Express : from £27.95 (typically 1-3 working days, requires signature on delivery, tracked + SMS/email notifications)

Any duties and fees imposed by your local Government are outside of our control I am afraid. We are unable to accept the liability for these external charges. We do not deliver to Packstations in Germany.


The Rest of the World

DHL Express : From £34.95 (typically 1-4 working days, requires signature on delivery, tracked + SMS/email notifications)


Points to Note

Only UK Next Day Deliveries have guaranteed delivery times - all other services show estimated times from courier services, but are not guaranteed dates. The majority of orders arrive on time, but we are officially obliged to say that deliveries could take up to 30 days if there are any delays in postal services, such as can occur during periods of heavy demand e.g. holidays and Black Friday.

'Next Day' deliveries to the UK are not made on Sundays or bank holidays. 'Next Day' orders placed on a weekend will be despatched the following Monday for arrival on Tuesday. 

For security and 'peace of mind', we may at times, upgrade your postage to a 'signed for' option, this is at our expense, and you will not be charged any extra.

If there is a possibility of your country or customs taxing you on any orders, then we can't be liable for those I am afraid. However, for orders to the USA, we will cover customs duties and taxes for original orders of $800 or lower in value. VAT is not included in prices for goods sent within the EU. 

Should your order be returned to us for any reason, we will happily re-send it to you, but we would require the postage fees for this service.

If your order hasn't arrived then it could be that it is held up with customs or postal officials. We advise UK customers to wait 15 days after the estimated delivery time, before we can assess whether we can refund or reship the items. Overseas customers will need to wait 30 days after the estimated delivery time, in order to take in to account any unexpected customs or postal delays. Any missing items or damage must be reported within seven days of receipt.

Taxes and Customs Duties:If there is a possibility of your country or Government customs taxing you on any orders, then we can't be liable for those I am afraid.

However, for orders to the USA, we will cover customs duties and taxes for original orders of $800 or lower in value. We are unable to cover taxes and duties to other countries.

If your country customs requires contents details to be printed on the parcel, then this will be provided by ourselves.

Returns

HOSIERY: If you receive a faulty item that needs to be returned due to a manufacturing fault, we will replace or refund as per your instructions. Please return it to us within 28 days of placing your order. However, once the item has been removed from the packaging, or seal broken, due to hygiene reasons, we are unable to refund or replace unless it is defective. If you simply change your mind, and the product is not faulty, you can still return it to us for a full refund (less postage costs and any credit card processing fees that are not refunded to ourselves) within 28 days of ordering, provided it is unopened, unworn, and returned in its original packaging and original condition.

LINGERIE: We offer a refund on all our lingerie, if you are not completely happy, within 28 days (less postage costs and any credit card processing fees that are not refunded to ourselves), providing that the items are unworn and the product and packaging are in perfect condition (with all tags still attached). We are unable to refund lingerie unless it is received at the address below within 28 days of purchase.

Any complimentary items sent as part of your order must also be returned. If any complimentary items are not returned (e.g. promotional gifts), then these will be deducted from the total refund amount.

Simply post your returns to the address at the bottom of this page, quoting your order number. Please obtain proof of postage for your security (The Hosiery Box cannot be held responsible for returned items lost in the post or any customs tax). Unfortunately, we cannot be responsible for the costs of returns. We endeavour to process all returns within seven days. Special orders are, unfortunately, non returnable for a refund.

We reserve the right to refuse refunds on any items we deem to have been worn or damaged.

To avoid customs charges when sending from abroad please clearly label the parcel with a customs declaration, stating “Returned Goods NCV (No Commercial Value)”.

CANCELLATIONS: If you decide to cancel an order prior to us despatching it, we may not always be able to do this, as orders progress quickly to the courier. Also, if you decide to cancel an order prior to despatch, we can refund, less the credit card fees we are charged (as these are not refunded to ourselves).
